If your business is located in Charles County, you can join MSLBA through your local
affiliate, the Charles County Licensed Beverage Association
(CCLBA). CCLBA represents alcohol beverage license
retailers which includes taverns, restaurants, package liquor stores, hotels, bowling
alleys and fraternal clubs. When you join us, your dues include membership in our
state affiliate, the Maryland State Licensed Beverage Association (MSLBA) and our
national affiliate, the American Beverage Licensees (ABL).
OUR PURPOSE:
CCLBA is a
non-profit trade organization, formed to protect and to preserve the interests of the
alcohol beverage retailer in Charles County.
LEGISLATIVE:
CCLBA
monitors the issuance of new
licenses and transferred licenses in Charles County by our local liquor board. Each
year, while the legislature is in session in Annapolis, we actively review proposed
legislation and represent our members on the MSLBA Legislative Committee, which meets
weekly during the session.
CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS:
CCLBA's
donations
to the community have included the "Just Say No Club" sponsored by the Charles
County Sheriff's Drug Prevention Program and was the largest cash contributor for five
years to the Charles County Project Graduation. CCLBA
also contributed to the Physician's Memorial Hospital Emergency Services and to
the Homeless Advocacy Association.
